Following the sun

Left or right?
As I was leaving work to come home a short while ago, I found myself turning left (for the long road) as opposed to my usual right (the quick way). The sun was setting and I had to follow it, it was that mesmerizing.

I pulled over and just watched through my open car window. Sometimes these little bits of simple everyday stuff just reel you in. And I'm left feeling awed by the power of nature and the beauty of this land around me.
I'm glad I turned left.

So am I - what a lovely picture Diana. I saw a klimt like scene this morning with lovely golden autumn leaves, but I was in fast moving traffic and diddnt have the camera, you are absolutely right about appreciating the beauty around us and being grateful for it !

What an excellent decision. So beautiful.

I am glad you turned left too, it was clearly the right choice. It feels good, doesn't it, to go in the opposite direction sometimes and get rewarded for it? You almost have to praise somebody for that.

Definitely the right (I mean correct!) choice. Sometimes it's so hard to make time for things like sunsets. But it's always so worth it... K x

Hello Diana. Well, forget mince pies - I'll be around for pumpkin toast and tea! Looks delicious as does that beautiful photograph from your journey home. I love the twilight so much. The most peaceful time of the day isn't it? xx

great sunset here in Gower too though I missed most of it as my kids had a horrific run in with some plants and are both plastered in blisters now, I think I need a cake :D

Fabulous view Diana, no wonder you had to stop and watch.

The sun would have been setting on the road not taken as well but you would not have had time for the joy of it.

What a fantastic photo! I love to watch the sun go down. I am always fascinated how suddenly it falls out of sight. x
