Turning

Turning...a new year, new opportunities, hope...

I love New Year - the sense of renewal, a blank canvas, a clean slate. Call it what you will, but for me letting go of the old and welcoming in the new brings a sense of hope, excitement and wonder. There's no big plan or resolutions, just gentle intentions for the coming months.

And I can't wait to get going again.

I've had a wonderful christmas with my family - I've driven nearly a thousand miles, been spoiled with beautiful presents (including some lovely wool and books), have eaten more than I needed (not just me, surely?), and am now home again....to peaceful beautiful Cornwall. And a freezing cold easterly wind which makes me want to cozy up inside.

I was granted my wish for frosty mornings and winter sunshine, day after day. The joy of wonderful walks with the added bonus of clean dogs at the end.

So a happy New Year to you - may it be all you could wish for and more.

I've tagged you for a really great meme when you feel so inclined. It made me think about what was lovely in my life, though one or two of the things I came up with were a little unexpected.
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Diana from sunny Sydney, sorry I'm missing that easterly wind. It was worth the 22hour flight to see my granddaughters face when she saw me. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Yarn looks good. I've treated myself to some Noro from Morris & sons for a wrap.

New years resolutions. Wierdly I don't have any! Just a wish for a few more hours each day, for my 2 honey bun kids to grow up more slowly, a few spare pennies to really tackle the garden hare at the barn! The landscaping is a major job and we're half way. Here's to beach walks with family, yummy home cooking, an attempt at some running with Kiera (7)!! and some Pilates for my knackered shoulder after 8 yrs of building here, hubby and I feel like a pair of old crocs! Have a fantastic year ahead, I'll be following your blog, Lots of love
