Wet dog days

The glorious cold frosty weather has abandoned us, leaving grey damp drizzle in its wake. The mornings are dark and gloomy and I'm finding it hard to get going on the days I work from home. First thing I have little focus for the tasks in hand and am easily distracted. You know how it is...you check your email, then an hour has drifted by while you've caught up on a few blogs here and there. And then the heating broke down, so I had to shift my computer to the only room with heat. And I quite like it here...close to the kitchen for hot drinks and nibbles, a frequent occurrence I have to admit. I call it brain food. Well, that's my excuse!

But Walter's not fazed by the weather....he's just as likely to go in the sea for a dip when it's freezing cold, as he is in warm summer sunshine.

So it's wet dog days here, topped off by rolling in fresh fox poo.

Don't you just love him?

He's so beautiful I think I could forgive him anything. I much prefer the crisp frosty clean dog weather though!
This is funny - the word verification is "saltedog" - is that a Walter that's been in the sea?

Sometimes I wish I was a dog! Fancy not having to bother about the weather being hot or cold when you fancy a dip .. I know what you mean about those lost 'catching up with blogs' hours! xx

gorgeous Walter... but oh fox poo is so smelly... the girls always seem bring it into the house on their wellies. Hope the heating is fixed... the same thing happened to Alice a few days ago... not funny and very costly.
sending you lots of love

...and I thought Alfie had disgusting habbits hope the fox pooh incidents happen before the play in the sea so it can all wash off....why do animals do such things??? however I am sure Alfie wonders what on earth I do with balls f wool which he wants to play with and sticks that he wants to chew...in fact has chewed..
