round and round

I feel like I'm going round and round in circles at the moment, never quite reaching my destination. Lack of focus on the one hand, head buzzing with ideas on the other. The relief of successfully reaching my tax deadline has led to a slump this week, and that's ok really. A little pause, several deep breaths, and then hopefully a sense of renewal.

So in the vein of still going round and round, I finished this neckwarmer last week, and have been wearing it non stop. I also knitted a chunkier version in this wool, as a present. And now I've been asked to knit a 'male' version. I'm just going to wing this in a chunky rib. The wool arrived this morning. And how beautifully soft and silky it is. It came from Dragon Yarns, whose service is exemplary.

I love the varying shades of grey and the thick-and-thin yarn.

So I shall just carry on going round and round....with a soothing, meditative repetition.

On a blog note - what do you think of the new template? I wanted a more contemporary feel, and a white background for my photographs. I might tweak a few more things. Does anyone know how I can get rid of all the underlining in my sidebar? I can't work that one out....

Hello Diana. I too am suffering the post tax slump and can barely shift my self to do anything. Knitting seems to be the panaea for this though doesn't it? Beautiful wool you are using. Just finished another pair of the mitts and am finishing a jacket started for Isabella almost a year ago! Luckily I knit quite loosely so it should still fit! Enjoy the break m'dear xx

morning sweetie...how modern are we...thought I had hit on an ultra swanky arty design studio...I love the colour of your yarn...I have felt a despeate urge to surround myself in blue at the moment...Polly Pete and my closest friend wear and love nothing else so I guess it was bound to rub off eventually...my red phase seems to be fading for softer mellower tones.....will have a look at that website later...although I am not supposed to be buying any more wool until everything is finshed including the coat/jumper...which will take an age..happy weekend...did I remember to tell you about the award at my place so busy at the moment I cant keep up...love H

I like the new look. The white backs all the photos stand out more and you always have lovely photos to look at.
Hope you are warm and snuggly.

That looks like a beautiful yarn. I like the white background for photos but then I'm probably biased because that's what I use!

Speaking of round and round, I'm knitting a pixie hat for nipper. It's very simple but sometimes I find the 'round and round' very boring. I can never decide whether to do something simple so it knits up quick, or something more complicated which will be more interesting but less quick. I really need to learn to be patient!
I love the thick and thin wool. How is that to work with? Also love the new blog look.

The yarn is a lovely color :)

Ooh, I really like your new template. I think the underlining is because it's a link, but I couldn't tell you how to make it go away.
Now I'm off to check out that wool shop...

You have a ul command in your html.

I'll send you a separate mail and show you.
