pausing for snow play

Last night when I went to bed, it started to snow and my world fell silent. All sounds from outside were muffled and this morning I woke to a beautiful blanket of white. This is cause for excitement when you live at sea level and almost as far south west as you can go. My week of slowly-easing-myself-back-to-normal was firmly put on hold while I headed out for some serious snow play. Or rather Walter did most of the playing and I was the laughing spectator on the sidelines, camera in hand.

My boy loves snow. I think you can tell.

He certainly does - what a happy chap he is!

It's amazing that you are having that much snow so far south west. It must look magical.
We've had loads over here in the east too, almost as much as New Year's Day.

Stay warm and cosy. Jeanne x

Hello you. Lucy and I are smiling at dear Walter playing in the snow. Not quite the serene gent he appears to be when lying sedately by our fire is he?!!! I bet he just lapped it up.

Can't wait for you to share your new year's word which I am keeping firmly in mind (though not yet in parcatice - needless to say I haven't started the books yet, but it is close!). Also love your calenders Diana and am so touched and impressed with my birthday phonecall and lovely card. Thank you dear friend xxx

He is so sweet. We took my neighbour's black Lab puppy out in it this morning. He was utterly manic! The boys thought it was wonderful. There's such a natutral affinity between small boys and dogs. Joyful to watch.

If my hound could talk, I think he would say he was jealous about the joy and curious about the white stuff.
