Mostly, I make Walter's biscuits (as opposed to buying them ready-made), using a simple mix of wholemeal flour, porridge oats, a little yeast, a splash of oil, and either chicken stock or marmite and hot water. This makes a lovely soft dough - the best bit is rolling it out and using the bone cookie cutter (we have a large one and a small one).
My dog is seriously spoilt, but he's worth it. It's a satisfying thing, baking for my boy. I have also been known to occasionally sample a biscuit or two.... I have to keep an eye on the quality control, after all.
What's in your cookie jar?

That is genius Diana! Love the cutters too. At the moment our cookie jar is a little empty so baking is in order - some shortbread would be rather nice xx
ahh, 'seriously spoilt but definately worth it'. we agree!!
love ginny. immie and izzy xxx
I love the idea of homemade dog biccies and will definitely be making some for Boo. I hope he'll know better than to turn his cute pink nose up at them!
You are right - seriously spoilt. But then why not?
Let me guess, Walter prefers the large ones!?!
Nice to see you back in the land of blog Diana.

that's so sweet! Cx
Those look good (and I've not even got a dog!)
Nothing! My cookie jar really struggles to stay full as soon as I've made them vroom they've gone!!!!! We do have a treat tub for our three cats though, my partner lovingly takes out all the little pale shapes from the dried catfood and keeps them for treats! Ah bless.
I need some of those cutters! I make dog bics too and add things like garlic - good for deterring nasties - and some herbs.
Oh those look fab. Lucky Walter! It's been ages since I've done any baking. Must get back into the swing of things.

ooh, they look great! I make dog biscuits and sell them at work, but the process takes ages with the recipe I use (a Rover Cottage one, with oatmeal, grated carrots, caraway seeds etc.etc.)Do you use a specific recipe or do you just chuck it all in a bowl? they really do look good!x
