leaf patterns

Yesterday's early walk in the woods kept me and my camera happy - and not just taking photos of Walter's muddy nose! The morning sun was filtering through the trees, and as I looked up towards the sky the canopy of beech leaves was illuminated.

I love the way the layers of leaves build up the intensity of colour, depending on the angle of the sunlight. It reminds me of stained glass, and of layers of tissue paper held up to the light.

Diana, you always take the most perfect pictures, rather gorgeous leaves or sweet dog noses. I always love to stop by. Take care..xx

So beautiful. And you're right--they do remind me of the tissue paper collages we used to hang in the school windows... K x

Beautiful photos, Diana.
It is so lovely to walk and admire the trees - I love to look up amid the branches, and also down at grass level - which makes me sound completely potty - really, it is not as strange as it sounds and no, I don't embarrass Mr Bun when out walking!!!
Happy days to you,

Hello missus!! Finally got some computer access though painfully slow. Reminds me of the old dial-up...argh!! Lovely to catch up on your blog Diana and see that Walter is enjoying himself. Dear chap. Much love and hugs to you both xxx

Gorgeous! They would make a great print/pattern for a fabric - I would love a top made out of it. Or a maxi dress!
