I am so sad to read of the death of Elspeth Thompson. I will miss her warm, generous and engaging writing and her beautiful photographs. She was an inspiration to me in many ways. My thoughts are with her family.
I only discovered Elspeth's blog a couple of weeks ago. I must say the news of her death was a shock to me. She was too young. I was certain to return to her inspirational posts. I have left a condolence to her hushand and daughter. x
That was a shock to read. There's an obit in the Telegraph now. People could rely on her to bring beauty into this world and I feel so sad that she was suffering severe depression.
Diana, I have just read your comment at my blog. Yes, Justine's tribute is so moving and beautiful. I have been in a shocked daze all day, like so many of us whose lives she touched. I feel so desperately sad for her husband and young daughter. Some time ago, when I mentioned on my blog that I was reading 'The Urban Gardener' she sent me a wonderful email - that was the kind of caring person that Elspeth was. Such a sad loss.
Thank you for visiting my blog - I hope you find something here to inspire you. I'm very happy for you to link to me, but please do not use my ideas, photographs or content without asking my permission. Thanks!
