one :: the countdown begins

Last year I had the crazy idea of blogging every day up until Christmas. I started it completely on a whim, and ended up enjoying every moment. This morning I read Gina's post and then Caireen's, so here I am again.... I'm not promising lots of words, (I am feeling a little quiet at the moment) but I can surely manage at least a photo every day. Bring it on!

The low winter sun streamed through the windows for a brief time this afternoon, warming everything in its path. This little fabric bucket is part of my lovely gift from Arounna, and the wool (discontinued sublime organic merino) is a beautiful mid-grey, which I'm using for Idlewood.

 Tracy has joined in too. How about you?

Where do you find these lovely patterns...I never seem to find what I am looking for on Ravelry...another snow day...fire, knitting and a little school work to ease the guilt...

I daren't even look on Ravelry at the moment! As usual, the plans I've been making all year for handmade gifts are still just plans! Best get a wriggle on...
Loving that yarn - Sublime is my favourite of the moment.

Lovely idea to post each day but without my camera I think I'll pass on it this year though will enjoy seeing what you come up with each day. That fabric bucket is great and the yarn sublime - the pattern too looks so cosy. Hope to see the finished article in due course.

Hello Diana,
This seems as good a time as any to introduce myself and thank you for the lovely posts.

And tho' the challenge seems...well, challenging...I have seem to have made a quiet commitment to it as I read your words. If I manage a post tonight when I get home, I shall continue on.

Happy December to you,

Lesley
