twenty four :: christmas eve

I've spent the greater part of the last few days in bed, feeling completely out of it. As a consequence, this has been my view. My bedroom has been flooded with sunshine, and Walter has spent his days moving positions to catch the warmest spots for a snooze. The days have been bright, clear and sharp, and from where I was propped up, rather enticing.

I'm still groggy and wobbly, so all christmas plans have been cancelled, and Walter and I are staying snuggled up at home.

I've drawn the names for the card giveaway :: Kate (Harmony and Rosie) and Val (DottyCookie) please email me your addresses so I can send you a wee parcel each.

And finally, Amanda in Scotland, your email completely made my day. Thanks so much!

I wish you all a peaceful, warm and happy Christmas with your loved ones, and stay safe if you're travelling. A big thank you to everyone who visits here, I do so appreciate it.

Right, time to head back to the duvet.

Oh poor you - how horrid. I do hope you will be up and about again soon. It is hard when it seems that the rest of the world is full of gaiety and fun and there you are feeling so down but at least you have a lovely view and Walter to keep you company. Get well soon and there will always be other Christmases won't there?!

Hope you are soon on the mend, seems so unfair to be ill at Christmas.
Amazing view!

Oh you poor thing - I am really almost about to lobby for Christmas to be postponed, everyone I know, both real and "virtual", seems to be sick! Hope you are feeling much better very soon.

And thanks so much for the giveaway win - you know I love your cards!

Diana, you have my sympathy, if I was there I would be coming round to administer chicken soup and tlc, not to mention take the furry one for a walk for you. I do hope you manage to get even just a little enjoyment out of tomorrow but as sick-bed views go, that's not half bad I have to say.

I'm so excited to win your giveaway, thank you so much. Take care of yourselves and I hope you're up and about very soon.

much love, Kate xoxox

Hope you are back to health soon, Diana. But at least you can feel all virtuous in not having indulged disgustingly today (unless you count flu medicine). You can catch up when you're feeling better!

Oh dear, I do hope you're better by new year's eve. At least you can have some fun out of it then. That said, with such a view and a warm Walter to keep you company, it's not too bad a Christmas. It may not have noise and sparkle and such, but a quiet Christmas is not to be sneezed at... or indeed sniffed, or coughed at!

Be well very soon and have a good snuggle with Walter!

Me too, except I dont get the option to cancel. I hope you get well soon - I'm sure a bit of bracing Penzanze air will clear you up. xxx

Oh dear! I hope you are feeling better now - lovely view to raise your spirits though. So many people have been awfully ill this year...it is pretty alarming! xxx PS Hope you had a Merry Christmas nonetheless!

Oh dear! I was in exactly the same position last year. Went to bed night before Christmas eve and didn't see downstairs until day after Boxing day and even then still wasn't too terrific. Nothing to do but surrender to it! Hope you are gradually recharging and will soon be firing on all cylinders. Just think, you have a whole, fresh, and brand new year to look forward to! Hope it's a good one!
